Seafarers Advice & Information Line


The Seafarers’ Advice & Information Line (formerly known as Seafarers Benefits Advice Line) is a UK based advice service operated by the Greenwich Citizens Advice Bureaux Ltd (GCAB) on behalf of Seamen’s Hospital Society.

We provide free, independent, impartial and confidential advice by telephone, email, post or fax.

Our service is available to merchant seafarers, fishermen and their families and dependants.

Our service also includes benefit checks, help with completing forms, negotiations with other agencies and help with applying for charitable assistance.

We also have a specialist Debt and Money Advice Service for clients and provide training and support for other agencies working with seafarers.
